Employment relations
As a Workplace Law Network premium member, you may have chosen to receive telephone support or online advice from our employment relations team. On a consulting basis, we provide additional on-site support when you need our assistance. This might mean accompanying you in formal meetings (such as interviews or disciplinary hearings) or by acting as an independent adjudicator in grievance proceedings.
If you find yourself in dispute with a member of your staff, an experienced Workplace Law employment relations advisor can represent you as an employer at an Employment Tribunal.
Documentation review, preparation and training
In addition to publishing standard policies and procedures documentation to Workplace Law Network members, we regularly undertake bespoke policy documentation reviews for our clients to ensure their working practices and records are kept up to date with current legislation.
Where significant amendments or new processes have been introduced, we are able to put together a special training programme for our clients to help them ensure that the policy is carried through by their staff in the workplace. Documentation includes:
- Discipline and grievance procedures
- Discrimination (including age, disability, race, religion, sex, and sexual orientation)
- Employment contracts
- Family-friendly issues (including maternity and paternity leave)
- Flexible working policies
- Holiday pay
- Performance management (including the appraisal process)
- Recruitment and selection procedures
- Redundancy procedures
- Sickness and absence procedures
- Staff handbook
- Stress management procedures
Occupational health
With our combined expertise in health and safety and human resources management, we are able to offer you a co-ordinated approach to issues in occupational health, including:
- Health screening
- Health surveillance
- Medicals
- Occupational health strategy
