Staff at a local council have been asked to refrain from eating in meetings, to help support Muslim employees during the month of Ramadan.
Tower Hamlets Council in East London is reported to have sent an email to councillors concerning refreshments for committee meetings throughout September, when practising Muslims will observe a period of fasting.
